Den Chief Training: is for Boy Scouts who want to help Cub Scout Den Leaders with their dens. This is a recognized Leadership position for Scouts. It is a great way for boys to obtain service hours, and is a lot of FUN! This course will provide Scouts with skills they need to be effective in their position helping younger Scouts. They will learn songs, games, and crafts that they can share with their dens and will receive resource materials & information.

Registration fee includes: lunch, snacks, Den Chief or SPL Handbook, program supplies, TFC Training Academy patch, "trained" strip plus the Training Academy carry bag.

Where: Sycamore High School, 427 Spartan Trail, Sycamore, Illinois 60178.  
When: Saturday, November 10, 2018 – 1pm – 4 pm

Den Chiefs should bring pencil, paper, an enthusiastic attitude, and wear your FULL SCOUT uniform. Attendance for the entire session is required to be considered trained and to earn the "TRAINED" patch.

***Scouts should complete the Den Chief online Fast Start Training Course, print the certificate and bring to class. http://olc.scouting.org/courses/dc/base.html

Senior Patrol Leader Training: This training is supplemental training, designed to introduce Senior Patrol Leaders and Assistant Senior Patrol Leaders to the “nuts and bolts” of troop operations in their units. It will be taught by trained NYLT Staff. (National Youth Leadership Training) The syllabus draws from existing training materials for SPL’s as well as other sources. It is not designed to replace any existing training; this training is designed to support the Scoutmaster’s role in the training process.

Check in begins at 7:30 AM, followed by a short opening in the auditorium at 8:30 AM.
Trainings begin promptly at 9 AM until 3:30 PM. A short closing & slide show of the day’s events will be held at 3:30 PM with dismissal at 4 PM.

Registration is On-Line Only

FEE: Early registration is $25 through October 26th. After October 26th, the fee increases to $30. If paying offline, please screen print/print your online registration confirmation & mail with your check or payment can be made in person at either Norris or Deicke Scout Stores.
