Lowaneu Allanque - WELCOME!

Lowaneu Allanque Lodge participated in the Fantastic Section C-7 Conclave 2012 this weekend held at Camp Lakota. This Conclave set records for our Lodge with the largest Contingent and the largest number of Members - 66. With 325 Arrowmen from all 8 Lodges, it was the largest Conclave in the Section’s history! Everyone had a Great time “Finding the Brotherhood”.

This year –

Lowaneu Allanque was awarded the Lodge Spirit Award.

Billy Doody received First Place in the Ceremony Competition.

Ryan Tyler received Second Place in the Ceremony Competition.

Lowaneu Allanque took First Place in the Lodgeball Competition.

Lowaneu Allanque was recognized as a Golden Compass Lodge.

We look forward to a much larger Contingent for Conclave 2013.

Congratulations to Lowaneu Allanque’s Lodge Adviser Tim Tyler who received Section C-7’s R.D. Dunkin Leadership in Service Award at the 2012 Section Conclave.

This award is designed to recognize those within Section C-7, who have gone far beyond their immediate responsibilities as Arrowmen and by doing so have laid a path of excellence for Arrowmen to follow. The award is named after R.D. Dunkin who believed that young people can grow to exceptional strengths and reach their full potential with the right combination of leadership education, mentorship, and love. R.D. Dunkin served as the Central Region Order of the Arrow Chairman for sixteen years.

Arrowmen!

Thanks to all of the members who showed up at Cantigny to help with setup! Don't forget we need lots of members to help at the Scoutorama!

Our next meeting will be at the Spring Fellowship. Don't forget to put in your Vigil nominations. Try to get as many members to fellowship as we can. After our experience at the conclave, I think we would all agree - the more the merrier!

In order to be a member in good standing in our lodge, not only do you need to pay your lodge dues but you also have to be a registered scouter! OA membership lapses the minute you do not recharter with a unit or with a district, etc.! Please find a unit to serve if you are not chartered with any one.

Again, our next meeting will be at the Spring fellowship.  I hope to see you there!

Yours in Cheerful Service!

Tim Tyler - Lodge Adviser

OA Winter Banquet 2012

Food, Fun, Fellowship & Awards were just some of the agenda items, when Order of the Arrow - Lowaneu Allanque Lodge #41 held its annual Winter Banquet at Bethany Lutheran Church on January 7, 2012. Our OA Cook Crew cooked us a fabulous meal & a silent auction was also held to raise money for much needed camperships which will enable Scouts to attend camp this summer. View photos of this event in the OA Winter Banquet Album!

Lowaneu Allanque Lodge 41 has a rich history of former Lodges that made up our wonderful Lodge. To commemorate our Lodge ancestral Lodges we have put together a Commemorative Lodge Flap Set. The set has 8 flaps and an additional reproduction of our own first Lodge Flap as well as a special Fifth teen year flap for a grand total of 10 flaps altogether. The price for the set is $50.

All proceeds to be used for camperships and other Lodge fund raisers. (More information click here)
